Teen Moms

Beyond the challenges they deal with as youths, our girls face unique challenges.

Our programs targeting teen moms aims at equipping them with knowledge on rights, safe reproductive healthcare, menstrual healthcare, and development of skills to help them provide for themselves.

This contributes towards a gradual decrease in teenage pregnancy as more girls stay in school and have access to free menstrual supplies from our menstrual programs.

Our life skills programs help reduce the stigma and ridicule associated with having a child early as the mom and child must both be supported to rebuild their lives.

One of our ongoing successes is the food program in Mukuru slums where the teen moms are allowed to attend various training programs with their children. We chip in through a maintained food program to keep the girls in school learning hairdressing and other hands-on skills.
